經歷
David Wang Joined Synaptics in 2012 and as the Senior Vice President of Systems Silicon Engineering responsible for architecture and silicon development of Synaptics products including Touch Controllers, Display Drivers, and Biometrics sensors. He manages $170M of annual budget and 700 designers worldwide. Since David joined Synaptics, the company has tripled its revenue and quadrupled the size of the design team in three years.
Prior to joining Synaptics, David was the Corporate Vice President at AMD/ATI responsible for GPU, CPU, and APU SOC development. As part of that responsibility, David has successfully driven eight process technology transitions from 0.15um to 28nm. David managed $250M of annual budget and 1,700 engineers globally.
David was a key member of 3D graphics startup ArtX which was acquired by ATI in 2000. While at ArtX, ATI, and AMD, David has also played key roles in developing game console solutions for Nintendo, Sony PlayStation, and Microsoft Xbox.
Prior to ArtX, David had held various technical and management positions at SGI, Axil Workstations, and LSI Logic. At SGI, he managed Raster Subsystem silicon design for the high end graphics workstation. At Axil Workstations and LSI Logic, he was the lead designer for the SPARC system chipset.
David has a BSEE from National Chiao-Tung University in Taiwan and MSEE from the University of Washington, Seattle. He received the honor as the Outstanding Alumnus of National Chiao-Tung University in 2012.
